    Lisa Wells, PhD, RYT500 is the owner of Cedar and Fir Studio.  She
    is an Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher, and holds certifications in a
    Spiritual Direction, DanceAbility , Soul Motion  and  Pilates Mat Instruction.  
    She is also a parent, an artist, a poet, a choreographer, and a PhD
    Geologist.  Her teaching style is grounded in Anusara yoga and has been
    described as an experiential and poetic geography of the body.  She has
    been practicing yoga for nearly 20 years and teaching yoga in Corvallis
    since moving here in 2000.  Her classes integrate breath, form, and
    motion, emphasizing the beauty of the journey of yoga and life.  She is
    also the founder of Reach Out Yoga, a program to take yoga to under-
    served and health-compromised populations in Corvallis.

    Chris Dopke has been a health and movement junkie all her life, from
    her school years as a gymnast and diver, to earning a bachelor's degree
    in physical education, practicing yoga for 14 years and working as a
    licensed massage therapist since 1996.  She is now an authorized student
    teacher of Feldenkrais Awareness through Movement® classes and will
    graduate from the 800 hour certification program in November of 2009.

    Kelly Guenther has been practicing yoga for 12 years and teaching
    for 6 years.  Her teaching style is influenced by Anusara yoga principles,
    her love of physical fitness, the beauty of nature and life, and most
    recently motherhood.  Kelly has been an engineer and project manager at
    HP and is currently taking a year off to be with her son.  She is a natural
    teacher, and loves to share her passion for yoga and the journey of life
    with others.

    Matthew Hartman, LMT is honored to be a part of the Corvallis yoga
    community.  Matt moved to Corvallis from Portland, where he taught for 7
    years at amrita, a sanctuary for yoga.  His teaching style is influenced by
    his studies of Anusara Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, and Rolf Structural
    Integration Bodywork.  Matthew emphasizes the proper balance of physical
    alignment with inner body awareness.  He is known for his ability to work
    with therapeutic needs and incorporates a global perspective of anatomy
    and movement in his classes.  Matthew has helped create Reach Out
    Yoga, a program to take yoga to under-served and health-compromised
    populations in Corvallis.

    Brigitte Herold, born and raised in Germany, Brigitte explored
    different yoga styles including Iyengar, Vinyasa and Anusara on three
    continents before receiving her yoga teacher certification in 2004 in
    California.  Brigitte's teaching style is influenced by Erich Schiffman,
    Desiree Rumbaugh, Kelly McGonigal, Ramanand Patel,among others.  
    She combines her passion for yoga with her love for guided meditation
    and shamanism to offer a unique experience to her students.  Brigitte
    focuses on going within, listening to one's own rhythm and guidance while
    challenging the physical body in a safe environment.

    Mikkel and Saralyn Hilde  are certified Soul Motion instructors
    trained by Vinn Marti.  They have been offering Mindful Movement classes
    since 1999.  Mikkel is an artist, designer, builder, and inventor. Saralyn is
    an artist, arts educator curator, and writer. They are parents and
    grandparents who practice Vipassana seated meditation and Soul Motion
    movement meditation.

    Ellen Kennedy is a 27 year practitioner of yoga with Advanced
    Teacher Certification  from White Lotus Foundation in Santa Barbara,  Her
    background includes experience as an orthopedic nurse, a professional
    dancer, massage therapist and energy healer along with 10 years as a
    yoga teacher in L.A. and Connecticut.  Using an eclectic style, she finds
    joy in teaching from "the inside out"--connecting breath to movement with
    attention to alignment. This is Ellens third year in Corvallis. She is mom to
    five and grandma to 9.

    Liz Riley  is an Anusara-inspired yoga teacher who has been practicing
    yoga for 15 years.  She is a recent breast cancer survivor and has turned
    her teaching skills to this special population.  Her classes are specially
    designed for people who have or have had cancer, focusing on
    breathwork, lymphatic flow and rebuilding strength post-surgery.  She also
    teaches yoga to youth.  Liz and her husband have lived in Corvallis since
    2000.  Their son, 2 year old Jackson, hisses when he does cobra pose.

    under-served and health-compromised populations in Corvallis.
